Ok, so here is where I put information about myself so that you can get to know where I come from and a little bit of my background…

I’m going to start sharing with you my complete full name:

Andrea Natalia Rojas Vizcaino Bernal Valderrama Jaramillo….. ok ok, I’m going to stop here!  I just find it funny every time people try to repeat it after I’d said it live!

I was born in Comodoro, Rivadavia… in La Patagonia, Argentina  (really “at the end of the world”!)… but it happened to be there because my father was working there at the time!  My parents lived there for 4 years, and when I was 2 years old my father was transfered to Aberdeen, Scottland! 

To be honest with you, I don’t remember very much the whole experience living there, but it was the first time I built snowmans in my life!  We lived there for 3 years… and to try to summarize and to make the story short, after that we lived in Bogota, Colombia a couple of years, then in an island called “Ciudad del Carmen” in the Mexican Gulf for 1 year, and then we settled back in Bogota where I did all my highschool and where all my family lives!

After graduating from highschool I went to Toronto to re-learn english (the one that probably was in my subconscious from the Scottish times but that I had definitely not practiced enough!) and I had the opportunity to meet wonderful people, to travel to different Canadian cities and to make a decision that would lead me to big changes in my life!  In 2000 I left my family and friends in Bogota, and moved to Montreal, Quebec where I completed my Bachelor of Science (Major in Computer Science and Minor in Management) at McGill University. 

I really enjoyed life in Montreal… I decided to stay in Canada after graduation, I worked in the IT industry for 2 years and moved again to Ontario to become a full-time student again!  I’m enjoying it so far, i’m living in Oakville in a beautiful house close to school and I feel lucky to have found the roommates I have, and to enjoy the classes, the profs, and in general the very nice group in the Interactive Multimedia Post-graduate Program!

(I thought i was going to sum up but I guess I extended quite a bit…sorry about that!)
